Pass Checker is an independent road condition monitoring app. We do not collect, store, or share any personal information about you. This policy explains what minimal data is involved in using the app.

Pass Checker does not collect:

• Your name, email address, or any contact information.
• Your location or GPS data.
• Usage analytics or crash reports.
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs.
• Any personally identifiable information (PII).

There are no user accounts, no sign ups, and no login.

The app saves the following preferences locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted anywhere.

• Theme preference (dark or light mode).
• Text size and bold text preferences.
• Disclaimer acknowledgment status.

You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser or app storage in your device settings.

When you use the app, it makes the following outbound requests.

• To our backend API to fetch road condition data from state DOT agencies. No personal data is sent.
• To state DOT image servers to load traffic camera images. No personal data is sent.

No IP address logging or user tracking occurs on our backend.

The app contains links to third party services that have their own privacy policies.

• Buy Me a Coffee. A voluntary tip service at buymeacoffee.com.
• State DOT websites. The agencies that provide road condition data.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external services.

Pass Checker does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. The app contains no advertising and is not directed at children.

If this policy changes, the “Updated” date above will reflect the revision. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
